BEHAVIOR ANALYST I -PART TIME

REPORTS TO: Outpatient Clinical Team Supervisor or Licensed Settings Clinical Team Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

STARTING WAGE: $30.28 per hour, adjusted for relevant work experience and education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assessment, intake, and therapy services to children, adolescents and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities served by the Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment and Research – Outpatient Services (GLC-OP) in concert with established standards and practice guidelines.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to relevant care staff and families as needed to ensure quality programming and treatment, using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based best practices, within the relevant outpatient settings of GLC.
  • Assist in the implementation of research activities and data collection related to program outcomes.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with overall program goals, agency policy and procedure and al applicable state, federal and local laws and/or regulations.
  • Implement responsibilities and other actions in accordance with ROI’s Core Values and Vision and Mission Statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Develop, implement, monitor, and revise overall treatment through clinical supervision of Outpatient Services Technicians. Conduct initial evaluations and screenings for individuals with a diagnosis of autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Embrace and support ROI’s philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism and work to ensure ROI’s commitment to being an anti-racist organization.
  • Participate in service/support/treatment team meetings.
  • Maintain positive working relationships between all collaborative/co lateral organizations and the clinical team.
  • Provide training and feedback to relevant care staff and families in the implementation of the treatment program and service plan.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities including intake/assessment planning meetings, peer reviews, case conferences, IEP meetings, discharge/transition planning meetings, and consultations with the clinical team.
  • Implement ROI’s Personnel policies within the program team.
  • Monitor team activities with respect to clinical bi ling obligations and systems; maintain and document accurate billing for services provided.
  • Participate in activities related to contract compliance, certification, and/or accreditation of OP Services, including the appropriate response to all inspections, investigations, and external audits/reviews.
  • Comply with al laws and regulations regarding reporting suspected abuse and neglect of vulnerable persons.
  • Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board Participate in the activities necessary for program evaluation and provide assistance for preparing/presenting research outcomes.
  • Have relevant knowledge of the assigned quality enhancement, strategic plan, outcomes plan, and program goals of the greater agency.
  • Promote positive image of ROI/Great Lakes and maintain general upkeep of the workplace and equipment to ROI standards.
  • Advocate for and respect the rights of individuals served.
  • Display responsible, conscientious behavior, and use good judgment in making decisions.
  • Facilitate teamwork between all team members via open communication, responsibility sharing, and a cooperative attitude.
  • Ensure clinical programs meet ROI’s and other professional standards.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all restricted information, data and reports.
  • Complete al other tasks as assigned by the Outpatient Clinical Team Supervisor, Business Development Manager (for billing and insurance purposes), Clinical Director, Executive Director of Autism Services, COO, and CEO

QUALIFICATIONS: Training in conducting assessments and implementing evidence-based procedures and treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities; individuals with relevant experience in outpatient programs preferred. Possess the analytical skills necessary to develop, implement, and measure clinical assessment and treatment programs. Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and problem-solving ski ls. Interpersonal ski ls necessary to communicate effectively with staff, clients, interdisciplinary team members, and families. Demonstrated adherence to systems based practices and protocols. Ability to lead group activities, as we l as work on a one-to-one basis with individual clients. Ability to identify changes in client clinical conditions and adjust activities accordingly. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when administering treatments, observing client behaviors, and recording notes. Ability to complete crisis intervention training and perform those tasks as needed. Ability to attend (including providing own transportation) work-related obligations throughout the community.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or aligned discipline which includes graduate level coursework in basic principles of behavior, applied behavior analysis, and research methodology; Board Certification as Behavior Analyst and possess a valid and current license as a behavior analyst in the state of Michigan by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
