Payroll & Financial Services Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Senior Accounting Manager
FLSA STATUS: Salaried Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Payroll and Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for establishing and/or enriching the customer service experience and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the payroll functions and financial supports provided to internal and external customers. Implement responsibilities and other actions in accordance with ROI’s Core Values and Vision and Mission Statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Manage all activities necessary to process payroll, such as maintaining related records, filing tax, quarterly reports, and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions, and making payments.
2. Develop an in-depth understanding of the UKG system to maintain appropriate records, reports and support all modules of the software.
3. Process Bridge Card applications, renewals, and terminations and Representative Payee referrals and other documentation related to consumer benefits that are financial in nature.
4. Manage year-end processes for annual payroll tax and payment summary reconciliations and W-2 preparation.
5. Facilitate an environment that supports the objectives and goals of the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensure bodies.
6. Developing procedures and methods of accountability; establishing and/or improving program efficiency and effectiveness; enhancing satisfaction of employees and persons served.
7. Manage the cross-training functions of the finance department staff under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager to ensure continuity of services and accurate information processing.
8. Ensure effective systems exist that coordinate effectively within the agency’s financial systems and human resources requirements and expectations.
9. Comply with all laws and regulations regarding reporting suspected abuse and neglect of vulnerable persons.

11. Maintain the confidentiality of all restricted information, data and reports.
12. Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Senior Accounting Manager or CFO.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in Accounting and 1 year of professional payroll and accounting experience; or equivalent experience and qualifications as approved by the Chief Financial Officer. Experience in processing payroll for an organization of at least 200 employees; proficiency in payroll and accounting software; and knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to track errors across organizational systems; commitment to professional development; excellent customer service skills to diverse populations with responsiveness to diversity, equity, and inclusion goals; and excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with representatives of various human service partners and work on several major tasks concurrently.
Starting salary for the position is $45,000 per year.
