Services Offered:
Group Homes
While ROI provides a number of services; our original service is still the core of what we do: group homes for adults with disabilities. Currently ROI serves 160 persons in 20 group homes with 24 hour staffing for each home.
ROI’s group homes are accredited by CARF, the rehabilitation accreditation commission. CARF is a private, not-for-profit organization that accredits programs and services in Adult Day Services, Assisted Living, Behavioral Health, Employment and Community Services, and Medical Rehabilitation. CARF develops and maintains practical and relevant standards of quality for such programs to determine how well an organization is serving its consumers. Every year the standards are reviewed and new ones are developed to keep pace with changing conditions and current consumer needs. ROI is proud to have received CARF accreditation, an indicator of ROI’s very high standards and quality.

Supported Living
For the people we serve, living in the community is a powerful statement, a monumental accomplishment, a huge step toward independence, and a part of everyday life. Currently 72 persons enjoy independent living in quality housing options with staff assistance from 48 hours per month to 24 hours per day.
Having a home to call one’s own is of tremendous importance. It symbolizes completeness, maturity, and independence.
For most of us, the defining moment of independence is when we leave the nest, move out, and live on our own.
For the people served by ROI living in the community is not just a powerful statement, a monumental accomplishment, and a huge step toward independence, but also a part of everyday life. It's a goal we work hard to help people achieve.
To learn more about SLA or to make a referral, call Andrea Heldart at (269) 343-3731 ext. 214. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have, and help you determine if ROI's Supported Living Alternatives can provide the solutions you are looking for.
Payee Services
Responsible budgeting means fewer worries and more peace of mind. ROI handles 200 persons finances through this program every day.
For most people, paying bills and maintaining a budget is a necessary inconvenience. For some-especially people with mental retardation and other disabilities-this inconvenience may be a huge barrier. ROI's representative payee service can help overcome this barrier.
Children's Services
The ROI Children's Home and Community Supports program provides in-home support to families caring for children with complex medical and behavioral challenges. We are committed to helping families stay together. Our dedicated quality staff is trained in CPR, first aid, medication administration, behavior management, person centered planning and more. Staffing is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The After School Program at Croyden Avenue School allows families the peace of mind of having specially trained staff persons serve their child until the family's work or other daily schedule permits them to pick up their child.
Respite Program
An important goal of parents and caregivers is to find someone they can trust: someone who can care for their loved one, and in whom they have faith. Our experience staff has received training in behavior management, administration of medications, first aid and CPR. This means safety for your child and peace of mind for you.
Our promise to you is that your child will enjoy a safe, stimulating and challenging environment with varied activities and companionship, while you get time off in your day. Our staff works with you to accommodate your needs and your schedule.
Stone Cottage
Located in Galesburg, Michigan; Stone Cottage provides residential and support services for military veterans and other such vulnerable adults who need 24 hour support or supervision. The facility can accommodate 20 people in a licensed residential facility and an additional 10 people in cottage settings to facilitate those more independent individuals or couples.
